Doggy Desk: The Corporate Canine Workplace

Hi all! What a family event filled weekend I had. Saturday we went to Grammy’s and celebrated Uncle Dan’s 27th birthday and also held a memorial service for my great grammy - who I never met, but heard that she loves animals. It was a little sad (memorial service part) and a lot of fun (Uncle Dan’s b-day part) AND  A LOT filling! I got to celebrate by eating some beef tenderloin and finishing off my meal with some sweet whipped cream from the strawberry shortcake we had for dessert! I realized that if I sit quietly under the table and not beg, that the scrps will come to me for waiting patiently….does that trick work for anyone else?

Oh, the ribbon on my neck is to match the Baby Shower that Auntie Jess threw for momma on Sunday. There were lots of gifts, good eats and friends to help momma get ready to welcome my new baby brother into the world. I hope that he is fun and likes to share!

Everyday, Uncle Dan closes his bedroom door the minute he leaves…but on the off chance that he forgets and leaves the door open, we don’t even for a second hesitate to jump on his low platform bed. Even chubby Cousin Gus has no problem getting up here. We obviously know we are doing something wrong, cause we all stare the the door to make sure he doesn’t come back and scold us! Hee hee.

HI all~ TGIF! And what an AMAZING day it is. I am LOVING the nice weather. Momma and I went to the Dr. this morning. I walked all the way there with her and all the way to the bakery to pick up Uncle Dan’s peanut butter and chocolate cake then all the way to the train station then finally to the office! What a BUSY day it was for me. Boy was I pooped. We celebrated Uncle Dan’s b-day by singing him Happy Birthday and drinking bubbly (sparkling cider for mom)! I ate some of the peanut butter buttercream frosting, boy was it good and boy would Cousin Gus be jealous! I have to see him tonight, so hopefully he will not smell the peanut buttery goodness on my lips! Hope that Uncle Dan has a great 27th year and I hope that the rest of you have a great weekend! As the seasons change and you change your clothes, Momma made a bag change for me. Usually she carries me on her back in a bookbag, but as the weather has gotten nicer or because her belly is getting bigger, she has lightened her load and is carrying me in a tote.

It’s not as comfy as the bookbag where I can stratch out and take a nap, but I do enjoy sticking my head out to see waht’s happening and I like how easy it is to get in and out…and MOST OF ALL, I like being lighter for momma, since her load is getting heavier by the day. Baby brother coutdown begins soon…I can’t wait to meet him, hope he is nice!

Hi all! Already Tuesday and no rain - what a great way to start off the week. Momma dropped me off for a grooming appointment yesterday…see the new ‘do! What do you think?

It’s pretty short, but I feel as light as a feather. I am by the way sitting on momma’s boppi pillow which I am pretty obsessed with. She sleeps with it every night and now I understand why. Papa is gone on another business trip. This time in San Francisco and I miss him pretty bad.

But atleast momma doesn’t have to sleep alone, since I am here to keep her company and take up papa’s side of the bed! I had a whole lotta space, the boppi and a new ‘do…what’s there to keep me from having sweet dreams? Have a great week ya’ll!

Looks like I am not the only on that goes to work with their momma. This is the Bulldog that we always see guarding the store Malin + Goetz. I have not met him personally, but he matches the store so well - everything is white and they have a bunch of cool Kid Robot toys too. I hope that next time I am in the neighborhood he’s around so that I can peep my head in and say HI! I have a grooming appointment on Monday, so I will upload a picture of my new ‘do on Tuesday, in the meantime, have a great weekend everyone and enjoy the kick ass weather today!

Ugh…woke up to another rainy day! The walk to work was pretty dry, but the wet ground always makes my paws black and momma has to soak my paws in water until it runs clear, then it’s sop sop sop around the office until I am dry, I think that they need to make comfy doggy rain boots, any of you have a good recommendation for me?

Anyhow, yessterday was another story, the sun was finally out and momma took cousin Gus and me out to the roof where we ran around with a couple other pups. This was after she had lunch with her friend Miranda who has a daughter Maggie, who always carries around a Bibi (pink cheetah blankie). I had no idea what it was until momma explained to me it is a security item that babies carry around with them. So I decided to choose yellow chick as my bibi, I ran around with it in my mouth, played fetch with it and even took a little nap with it in my mouth. But it just got too heavy and I think that I am not a bibi kind of pup. I will let Maggie have her bibi and I on the other hand prefer to run around freehanded ooops, I mean freepaw!

Rain or shine my favorite thing to do once I get into the car is to stick my head out the window and take in all the glorious fresh air at speeds of 30mph and higher!

On Saturday, I went to hang out with cousin Gus on the roof and once we got there, there was a dog party! The weather was so nice and there were a bunch of pups out to play with. Cousin Gus was pretty antisocial and watched the other dogs sitting next to momma on the bench.

I ran around and played ball. It was so fun. Too bad it rained so much on Sunday and still raining today. Boo!

HI all!I know that it’s Monday, but Friday momma was home getting over her cold, which means I was home on Friday keeping her company. Our day was spent napping sandwiched in with eating and watching a little TV.

That is me, leaning on momma’s BIG belly and saying hi to my soon to be brother. Then we went to sleep again at night…which by the morning time meant I was pretty antsy to wake momma up to do something…anything! She obviously was not budging, but she did eventually get up and we went to go visit cousin Gus…more on that in the next post! Hope you all had a more active Friday than me…
