Doggy Desk: The Corporate Canine Workplace

This is me and momma at Best Buy last night. We met up with Pappa to go home and he needed to make a quick pit stop into Best Buy to pick up Uncle Dan’s video game. I was feeling excited and really did not want to be in the bag and tried to wiggle my way out (see how I got my two front legs out of the bag) but Momma was not having it. She scolded me and told me that she was already feeling heavy enough without me squirming around. I felt bad, but I think that it would have been better if she just let me out of the bag, I mean she would have felt 10lbs lighter! Sigh.

Yay! Momma and Papa are back! This past weekend, they took a trip to Boston and I stayed with Momma’s friend Annie. Show took me for a bunch of walks and even to Brooklyn for the first time! It was fun, but it is sure great to have them back! Momma and Papa went to check out BU where Papa went to college and brough back some shirts, hats, hoodies and sweats, but for me, they went to Polka Dog Bakery at

Where dogs are the focus! I got so many goodies! Salmon Skin Rolls, Chicken Kebabs, Chicken minis, Peanut Butter and Jelly Cookies, etc. There are so many to choose from, I don’t knwo where to begin. I really like that you can buy one of each thing so you can try before you buy a whole lot and regret it later, because you didn’t like the flavor.

Momma and Papa aslo said that they went to a pet store in Wellsey where they met a nice owner and her dog, she gave them a bunch of food sample and pappa picked me up some REAL cheese treats - I WIIF CHEESE and a new collar. I’m not used to wearing it yet, but I will take a picture soon and upload it for all of you to see soon.

I missed them so much and am so happy to they are back that I decided to take a nap on momma’s laundry to make sure she doesn’t leave again too soon!

It must not be a manic Monday for the pups at the desk today…atleast they are at their seats…that’s progress. Right?

Hi All,

Last week we had a powwow about how we wanted to rearrange the office for the new year - even though it’s already Feb. I’m not sure if it’s just for a change of pace…or maybe for better flow…like feng shui.Fancy, huh? Anyhow, just so everyone knows, while everyone was busy meeting and laying out the floor plan, uncle Dan and I were doing this!

I think he is covering his face since he’s embarrassed! Apparently he went out the night before and went to Circle, where he partied the night away. Maybe next time he’ll take me…

Today, Uncle Dan has FINALLY brought cousin Gus into the office. It’s been a long time since he’s been in and I think that he has forgotten that while he was away I OWN the white rocker to nap on, rest on…to do wahtever I want on! I tried to take ownership of it…and boy did we get into it. We threw the blankets on the floor, made all kinds of dying noises AND in the end…

Which incidently we got him for Christmas. I think that as a bigger cousin he should teach me how to share. I’m too little to know these things. Hmpf. Hope your weekend is starting off better than mine. Pooh.

As we all know, last Friday was Halloween.

My friend from Chicago, Nigel, has been begging for a Doggy Desk Midwest Corespondent position. I finally gave him his big break.

The Assignment: Report back on the 2008 Halloween Trends in the Midwest.

Nigel was thrilled. He had camera in paw and was raring to go.

What was supposed to happen: Nigel was dressed as a Pig Herder. He was part of a couple’s outfit. His partner, Sweet Vivi!, was dressed as a pig.

What happened: Nigel ate his pig he was supossed to carry. See evidence to the right.

Grabbed a pillow and took a nap.

Mr. Nigel, I don’t know if you are at the corespondent level yet. Let’s start off as an intern to the interns. Whatcha think?

Tater is right. I have been absent from work and from Doggy Desk for weeks. I apologize to all my fans. I have let the team down, especially Tater. Tater has been carrying the team. He might even deserve a promotion…

This afternoon has been tough. Getting back into the groove of daily work is tough! And Darcy didnt make it better. She taunted me. And I know I heard her whisper something under her breath. She denied saying anything. I didnt believe her.

This is what happens when Darcy taunts me. Darcy gets gutted and then used as a pillow. I am still deciding if she will go to the Doggy Desk Hospital or not.

Since Natalie + Emma (well she wasn’t in…but it is still considered her space) left early, I decided to go and play where the sun was shining on my face, where Natalie would have been sitting if she were here with Emma’s toy, which she would be playing with if she were here! I love having office-mates, gives me more toys and space to play in!

Another Monday that he is coming apart at the seams. It’s hard coming back to reality after such a wonderful Holiday Weekend. No more monkeying around!
